bornl33t spreading the l33t to you

We are testing out the new murmur server for mumble @ voice.bornl33t.net just use the default port and the same password as the ventrilo server. For those of you with registered users, I don't have a way to migrate you at this time. Though I'm looking into a way to link the drupal users into the mumble user database.

1. To get started, download the client from here
2. Spend a little time setting up your mic
3. Enable expert mode and move the quality to "10" (leave the other settings alone)
4. Connect to voice.bornl33t.net using the default port listed
5. Use the default password to connect
6. join one of two channels and chat away!

Why not use Ventrilo?

The reason we are moving away from Ventrilo and onto mumble is for a few reasons.

1. It doesn't make sense that if you can get the same audio quality from an open source solution, why pay $120USD+ a year?
2. As of late, our ventrilo host has been on the fritz with major lag spikes. We haven't given them a chance to fix it because another, more favorable solution has presented itself
3. Mumble seems to be much more flexible in the ways of user management and channel management
